This summer, The Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science presents ECLECTIC SELECTIONS: From The Permanent Collection. Open June 14, 2008 and on view until August 10, 2008, the exhibit celebrates the past 10 years of The Brogan's Permanent Art and Education collections. A wide range of works including: folk art, photography and sculptures from the 20th century, along with paintings, drawings, and printmaking from the 19th through the 20th century, and Pre-Columbian Artifacts will be on display. A national traveling exhibit on loan from the McKissick Museum at the University of South Caroline with a Florida component. This exhibit features more than 200 objects and photographs that tell the story of the changing relationships of pets and their masters through the years.

In partnership with Quilters Unlimited of Tallahassee, the Museum opens the 27th annual Capital City Quilt Show. Many hand-crafted and machine-made quilts and wall hangings will be on display.
