River Sinks Trail

Located near Mikesville Florida, the River Sink Trail makes for a perfect, short adventure for hikers of any skill level. The unpaved, natural path begins at an old suspension bridge and stretches for 1.3 miles, looping around a portion of the Aucilla River. Surrounded by Sister Sinks, the River Sink Trail offers unique and scenic views of nature because of its distinct geological patterns, and abundance of karst limestone that has created amazing ecological features such as sink holes and disappearing rivers that support diverse wildlife.

Featured Uses: Hiking, walking, nature viewing, and bird watching. Leashed dogs are permitted.

Access: Drive down Crawfordville Highway (319) about five miles past Capital Circle. About a half-mile after the Leon Sinks Tract on the right, turn left onto CJ Spears Road.
