Bald Point State Park is located on Alligator Point, where Ochlockonee Bay meets Apalachee Bay. This park has some of the most picturesque nature views that exist along the entire Gulf Coast of Northern Florida. Hosting an impressive 4,065 acres of upland terrain, Bald Point State Park offers diverse on-land and water-based activities, including hiking, bird watching, fishing, paddling, swimming, and even windsurfing.

Located on the far-east side of Bald Point State Park, the 1.32-mile Double Pond Loop trail circles around two beautiful bodies of water. The starting point can be accessed on the backside of a dune ridge, where live oak scrubs transition into more diverse ecosystems.


Featured Uses: Hiking, camping, nature and wildlife viewing, picnicking, swimming, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, wind surfing. Leashed dogs are permitted.

Hours of Operation: 8:00am until sundown

Fees: $4.00 per vehicle and $2.00 for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Park Amenities: Restrooms, water fountains, parking, picnic pavilions, benches, beach access, canoe/kayak launch ramp, fishing dock
