Bombing Range Trail is situated in Bald Point State Park which is located on Alligator Point, where Ochlockonee Bay meets Apalachee Bay. This park has some of the most picturesque nature views that exist along the entire Gulf Coast of Northern Florida. Hosting an impressive 4,065 acres of upland terrain, Bald Point State Park offers diverse on-land and water-based activities, including hiking, bird watching, fishing, paddling, swimming, and even windsurfing.
This trail is located just east of the Chaires Creek entrance and stretches a short distance of .62 miles. It begins at a historic gun range once used as a part of Camp Gordon Johnston during WWII for training fighter pilots. After you march your way north from the parking area, the trail ends at tidal creek near a picnic pavilion.
Featured Uses: Hiking, camping, nature and wildlife viewing, picnicking, swimming, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, wind surfing. Leashed dogs are permitted.

Hours of Operation: 8:00am until sundown
Fees: $4.00 per vehicle and $2.00 for pedestrians and bicyclists.
