The Working Method Contemporary
Carnaghi Art Building, 2214 Belle Vue WayTallahassee FL
Gallery shows a new exhibit each month showcasing contemporary artwork created by students in Florida State University’s Master of Fine Arts Studio Art program
Working Method Contemporary is the dedicated gallery space for Masters of Fine Art Students at Florida State University. The program is composed of approximately thirty graduate students pursuing a terminal degree in Studio Art. The gallery provides students a space for exhibition, experimentation, and documentation of works created while attending Florida State.
We operate as an alternative, non-traditional space dedicated to showing recent works, as well as collaborations, by students currently enrolled in the program. Each First Friday the gallery opens a new exhibition for the public to explore. These exhibitions include painting, sculpture,
photography, ceramics, video works, installations, and performance art. Working Method Contemporary Gallery also offers a platform for the
students to participate in the art world at large. Last year, Working Method showed work from all gallery artists at Fountain Art Fair, which runs concurrently with Art Basel Miami. These two forums for contemporary art are held yearly in greater MIami. Each December, these eventsdraw artists, art galleries, museums, and collectors from all over the globe providing international exposure to all participants.
While the premises is provided to the graduates by the university, Working Method is run by student volunteers, who are responsible for maintenance, publicity, and all other day to day gallery functions. The primary source of support for the gallery comes from donations and fundraising activities initiated by the students themselves. If you are interested in

Today, Tallahassee commemorates Emancipation Day. On May 20, 1865, General Edward M. McCook declared the Emancipation Proclamation in effect from the steps of the Knott House in downtown Tallahassee, and newly freed citizens gathered at Bull`s Pond (now Lake Ella) in joyful celebration.
This important tradition continues to this day at the Knott House at 11:30 a.m. for a special program and reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, followed by a free lunch and activities in Lewis Park. All are welcome.

🐾 Big news for wildlife conservation in Tallahassee! The Tallahassee Museum has officially welcomed four newborn endangered red wolf puppies, born to mother Rue and father Ace.
Red wolves are considered the most endangered canid in the world, with fewer than 300 individuals in existence today. This new litter marks a massive milestone in the Tallahassee Museum’s nearly four-decade commitment to the American Red Wolf SAFE Project, helping to bring this critical species back from the brink of extinction.
To ensure the pups grow up healthy and retain the natural wild instincts needed for potential future release, the museum`s animal care team is keeping a safe distance and monitoring the den entirely via cameras.
While the puppies will remain tucked away in their den, visitors can look forward to seeing them explore the outdoor habitat later this summer.
Head to the link in our bio to read the full story behind this incredible local milestone and learn more about the science of saving the red wolf.
