Good People

Good People centers on an unexpected reunion between Margie and Mike, old high school friends from the working-class Irish neighborhood of South Boston. More than 30 years later, their lives could not look more different: Mike is a successful doctor living in the suburbs, while Margie is a single mother caring for her adult daughter with special needs and struggling paycheck-to-paycheck just to make ends meet.

Full of heart, laughs, and lot of sharp edges, this Tony-nominated play asks: Why did he make it out while she didn’t? Was it luck, hard work, or something more complicated? And does Mike have any obligation to help her now?

Tony-Award and Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire pays his respects to his old South Boston neighborhood with this tough and tender play that you won’t want to miss.
