US Hwy 98St. Marks FL 32355
(850) 488-4676
Deep Creek Trail is part of an ecological restoration program situated on an impressive acre of cattle ranch and pine plantation near St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. The goal is to restore the area back to 4,800 acres of longleaf pine forest, prairies, and cypress domes. In order to explore these unique habitats, two unpaved loop trails exist to provide hikers and equestrians with beautiful natural paths to explore. The outer loop, which is the longest trail, stretches for 5.3 miles and is marked with yellow blazes, and is shared by both hikers and horseback riders.
Featured Uses: Hiking, running/walking and equestrian.
Access: The trailhead is along SR 415 north of Osteen and south of SR 44, on the west side of the highway.
Amenities: Parking, restroom, and screened picnic room.
