Situated within The Apalachicola National Forest, Camel Lake Trail offers breathtaking views of Camel Pond. This looped, unpaved trail encircles Camel Pond and makes for an easy 1.2-mile walk or run. Visitors can marvel at the crystal clear waters as you unwind and explore the trail’s surrounding longleaf pine forest and native vegetation. Seepage slopes located throughout the area also create the perfect place for pitcher plants to grow wild in bogs. Located above the rim of Camel Pond is a designated recreational area with well-shaded campgrounds suitable for RVs and tents, and the day use recreation area is complete with picnic tables, picnic shelters, and a sandy beach for swimming.
Featured Uses: Hiking, walking/running, camping, swimming, fishing, and nature and wildlife viewing. Leashed dogs are permitted.

Day Use Fees – $3/vehicle per day. Free for Senior or Access passholders.
Camping Fees – $10/campsite plus $5 for electric hookups. Half price for seniors and passholders.
Park Amenities: Parking, restrooms, water fountains, boat ramp, campgrounds, RV accessible, and picnic tables and pavilions.
