By Visit Tallahassee

Local bands. Touring acts. DJ’s spinning the latest hits. In Tallahassee, music lovers will find tunes to thrill their eardrums at venues throughout town, no matter what their musical preferences may be.

the Adderley Amphitheater at Cascades Park

Located in the beautiful Cascades Park, just steps from Tallahassee’s downtown, the Adderley Amphitheater is a state-of-the-art outdoor performance center offering both reserved seats and a large grass area where general admission ticket holders can spread out a blanket and enjoy any number of acts. Grammy-winning acts like Alabama Shakes, Train and Avett Brothers have performed here, as have the Southern Shakespeare Festival, Word of South Festival and other annual events.

FSU Donald L. Tucker Civic Center

Recently renovated and known for hosting the biggest acts to come through town, the FSU Donald L. Tucker Center has seen acts from Jimmy Buffet to Florida Georgia Line to Chance the Rapper take the stage. This downtown civic center is located near many restaurants, bars, and hotels, making it perfect for a trip to see great bands and enjoy all the nightlife nearby.

The Club Downunder

Located on FSU’s campus in the Oglesby Student Union, The Club Downunder is an intimate venue that attracts up-and-coming artists as well as indie artists who cater to the ever-changing tastes of those on music’s cutting edge.

Railroad Square

Tallahassee’s unquestioned artistic center, Railroad Square, is home to an eclectic collection of galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and fantastic live music. Spend an evening outdoors listening to great acts in an incredibly unique setting. And pick up a pint (or a growler) of Proof Brewing Company’s craft beer while you’re at it.

Restaurants that Rock

Some of Tallahassee’s more popular restaurants and bars serve as great music venues as well. Island Wing Company in the Market District hosts live music on its expansive patio. The Brass Tap also hosts local artists regularly at its Midtown and Gaines Street locations. So come enjoy a beer, a bite and a bit of live music.
