Get Energized by Tallahassee's Coffee Roasters

By Visit Tallahassee

Tallahassee contains many local roasters and cafés to supply coffee lovers a much-needed caffeine fix any time of day.

Lucky Goat Coffee

Cappuccino or just plain coffee? By-the-cup single-origin or cold brew? Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur, new to the coffee-drinking experience or somewhere in between, Lucky Goat Coffee wants everyone to find something they love. Expertly crafted coffee doesn’t have to feel exclusive. This Tallahassee-based roastery, tasting room and distribution company serves single-origin coffees from unique growing regions with an emphasis on microlots and distinctive flavor profiles.

A Lucky Goat location is always nearby with five tasting rooms throughout Tallahassee at Bannerman Crossing, Midtown, Market District, Capital Circle and South Adams. Once you get a taste of their delicious blends, you’ll want to take some home with you, or order as much as you want from their online store.

Red Eye Coffee

Named as one of the South’s Best Coffee Shops by Southern Living Magazine, RedEye Coffee is making the world a better place one cup at a time. Using bird safe, coffee and tea from small farmers at a fair price through certified organic cooperatives, RedEye donates all its profits to local and global humanitarian causes. Served to guests in earth-friendly cups, RedEye takes great pride in their efforts to protect the environment and to positively affect social awareness for all.

RedEye has two popular locations in the heart of Midtown and off Capital Circle NE near Tom Brown Park.

Paper Fox Coffee

Coffee is a wonderful way to start your day or a great treat in the middle of it. Paper Fox Coffee cares deeply about making sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome while receiving high quality drinks. Ideal for a pick-me-up on gameday, Paper Fox Coffee is located on West Pensacola Street in the University Village shopping center near Florida State University.

Black Dog Café

Located on beautiful Lake Ella in the heart of Tallahassee, Black Dog Café is a gourmet coffee shop featuring specialty coffees, teas, sodas, wine, pastries and snacks. This community coffee shop offers wonderful single origin and blended roasted coffees, espresso drinks, locally made baked goods and ice creams. While there is free WiFi during the week, it is turned off on the weekends when we treasure good conversations and a game of chess.

Tally Cat Café

Tally Cat Café is a coffee and wine bar that proudly serves Lucky Goat coffee, espresso, cold brew, and other drinks as well as a selection of pastries from local bakeries. Not only that, this café aims to help adoptable cats from the humane society find a “fur-ever” home.

The café is separate from the cat lounge and even has a wall-to-wall viewing glass with bar seating for those waiting their turn to enter a room full of playful cats. The Cat Lounge, furnished for playing and cuddles, is a space provided to serve as a foster home for cats from the local humane society. Warm up with a cup of coffee then warm your heart with a new furry family member.
