A Tour of Tallahassee's Beer Gardens

By Visit Tallahassee

Garden tours are extremely popular with visitors given Tallahassee’s beautiful year-round weather. Of course, there are many different styles of gardens to explore — including BEER GARDENS! Showcasing a seemingly endless supply of award winning craft beers from all over, these gardens are a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Lake Tribe Brewing

If sharing a campfire and telling stories with friends sounds like a good time, then Lake Tribe Brewing needs to be on your list. The super chill atmosphere here is welcoming to all and the lengthy list of beers on tap are all worth exploring. Kick your feet up, look up to the stars and bring your best ghost story to share… and maybe some s’mores!

When you go, be sure to try: Beckster’s Satsuma Wheat or Red Cloud IPA

Ology Brewing Co. (Powermill & Northside Locations)

Easily one of the most creative breweries you’re likely to find anywhere, Ology’s crafty concoctions a guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser. From sweet stouts and sour ales, to traditional style American IPA’s and everything in between. Tucked away from the hectic world, this beer garden is where all your cares melt away under swaying trees and the sky above. Also home to Tallahassee’s first craft distillery producing premium vodka and spirits.

When you go, be sure to try: Indigo Sky – a sour-Berliner Weisse with a rich indigo color as the name would suggest.

Proof Brewing Co.

With Tallahassee’s downtown skyline as your backdrop, Proof is a large urban beer garden with a cozy neighborhood feel. Catch the game on tv’s inside or dance along to live music outside. Watch the beer being made on site and sample flights of award winning brews– you’re among friends here.

When you go, be sure to try: Mango Wit – a Belgian Wit brewed with fresh mangoes… a Tallahassee favorite!

DEEP Brewing

Dive into greater depths while on dry land at Deep. The rotating taps are loaded with award-winning beers of every style imaginable. A must-hit spot for a weekend drink and a quick bite from their on-site food truck Slide Hustle cranking out savory burgers, sandwiches and sides.

When you go, be sure to try: Nyctophile – a sweet milk-stout with a depth of flavor.

Oyster City Brewing Co.

When you go, be sure to try: Hooter Brown. A robust Ale made with local Tupelo honey harvested upriver at Owl Creek. Full bodied and easy drinking thanks to the rich honey and chocolate malts.

Township

“For the table, by the people” is not just lip service, it’s the mantra at Township. With beers served in steins and unique twists on urban street fare, just walk up and order “for the table” and grab a seat “by the people”– we bet you’ll make some new friends instantly. Patrons are invited to cast their votes for what beers are added to the tap menu every month… cast your vote then raise a glass, cheers!

When you go, be sure to try: Whatever’s on The People’s Tap – a monthly selection chosen by YOU
