Our gallery shares and highlights diverse artforms, with particular emphasis on visual art by Black artists. Our gallery program produces engaging exhibitions and public programs offering visitors the opportunity to experience the richness of visual art as an expression of material culture and history of artists from the African Diaspora. A cat that loves to swim? Meet Marina. 🌊🐈

She’s a rare fishing cat making her public debut tomorrow, Saturday, July 11, at the Tallahassee Museum! Native to South and Southeast Asian wetlands, these specialized hunters have partially webbed paws and water-resistant fur made for diving.

Tomorrow is the ultimate double-feature: catch a glimpse of Marina, and then stay for the annual Swamp Stomp Music Festival from 4 PM–9 PM!
