Tucked along the trails of Cascades Park sits a window into Florida`s earliest days of statehood: the First Florida Capitol (replica).

Before the iconic Historic Capitol and modern tower shaped our skyline, Florida’s territorial government met in a log cabin built right here in 1824. This detailed replica offers visitors a quiet, shaded step back in time in the middle of our downtown park.

Take a stroll down Cascades Park and explore where Florida`s legislative history began.

Tallahassee game day weekends call for local beer.

If you`re arriving in town ahead of the weekend matchup, make a Tallahassee taproom your first stop.

Oyster City Brewing Co. is a great place to start. 🍻
