The Council on Culture Arts (COCA) is the local arts agency for Florida's Capital Area. COCA works on behalf of the community to support the area's diverse range of cultural events and traditions. Through innovative partnerships with community and educational groups, COCA seeks to enrich and improve the lives of citizens and visitors alike.


COCA is committed to promoting arts and culture in all its forms, including visual, performing, literary, and media arts, museums, and arts education. Our professional staff and board of directors serve as a community resource to advocate for and support arts and culture in Tallahassee and Leon County.
COCA members include non-profit and commercial galleries, museums, theatres, music groups, dance companies, festivals, film/video companies, historic sites, educational organizations, and individual artists, as well as businesses and individuals interested in supporting local cultural activities.

Join us for the 46th World Athletics Cross Country Championships on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Apalachee Regional Park to witness the excitement of five championship races as the world’s top athletes compete for gold. 🏅

👟 Lace up YOUR running shoes and take on the same course as the championship athletes, held immediately following the world championships award ceremony. Choose from a 2km or 4km course community ⚡ Fun Runs ⚡ and enjoy the unique opportunity to test your skills through Florida-inspired obstacles. Registration also includes spectator entry into the park.
