Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin opens the program with refined charm and delicate French color, paying homage to the grace of 18th-century dance through a lens of modern impressionism. Both Mozart and Mendelssohn died before the age of 40, leaving us with prolific and profound bodies of work. Their pieces on this program showcase the composers’ immense talents, leaving one to wonder what might have been.

This concert features another prodigy, violinist Amaryn Olmeda, performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, a Romantic masterpiece that never fails to captivate.

The evening culminates with Mozart’s majestic Symphony No. 41 in C, aptly nicknamed “Jupiter” after the Roman god, a triumphant and awe-inspiring finale from the greatest of Classical symphonists.

Come at 6:00pm for the Symphony Happy Hour and Pre-Concert Chat with the Maestro!
