Levitt AMP Tallahassee: Music Under The Oaks with BlackCat Zydeco

Get ready for a new downtown tradition as Lewis Park in the Chain of Parks comes alive with free live music under the beautiful canopy of historic live oaks.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening of live music, food trucks, and local art vendors in one of Tallahassee’s most beautiful public spaces. It’s the perfect way to gather with friends, family, and neighbors while supporting local artists and downtown businesses. Beverages will be available for purchase at the Charlie Park bar on-site at the events.

BlackCat Zydeco brings the high-energy sounds of Louisiana to Tallahassee. Led by accordionist Dwight “The Black Cat” Carrier, the band is deeply rooted in Cajun and Creole musical traditions while blending blues, country, and R&B influences. Carrier grew up playing zydeco and has toured nationally and internationally, bringing upbeat, dance-ready music to festivals and clubs across the country. Their lively rhythms and infectious grooves celebrate the rich traditions of Louisiana roots music and are guaranteed to get audiences moving.
