Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Thornton discovered his love of painting in his youth, guided by his mother, who inspired him to create and cultivated his passion for the arts. After setting aside painting to build a career and raise a family, Thornton rediscovered his passion for painting. He has called Tallahassee home for over 40 years, and the show reflects that through decades of his work spanning Florida landscapes, wildlife, portraits, and paintings of his family.
The exhibit runs September 25 through December 12, with an opening reception on September 25 from 5 to 7 PM.
