NYC-based, Wakulla native Wiley Gaby teams up with Tallahassee’s Gamble Cosmos (the sonic alter ego of Jason Chimonides) for a night that reimagines country storytelling and rock swagger, live at The Req Room at Blue Tavern on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Wiley Gaby: Queer Country with Deep Florida Roots

Brooklyn-based, Florida-born Wiley Gaby (formerly Goldenchild) writes heartfelt hurtin’ songs and delivers them with tear-stained, emotional vocals—exploring, in NPR Music’s words, “balladeer vulnerability and melodrama by swelling into high notes and emoting with sly finesse.”

Fresh from a set at AmericanaFest in Nashville, Wiley is stopping by on a fall tour that will carry him through the panhandle and onto New Orleans and Galveston. Raised in Wakulla County and an FSU graduate, he’s returning home as he prepares for the 2026 release of his solo debut on Mississippi’s Dial Back Sound, produced in partnership with Matt Patton of Drive-By Truckers and Dexateens. The first single drops February 2026, with a full U.S. tour to follow.

Gamble Cosmos: Psychedelic Rock & Roll Borne of the North Floridian Soul

Known offstage as Jason Chimonides, Gamble Cosmos fuses the lush, psychedelic atmospherics of British post-punk with the earthy, primal attitude of early rock & roll. With a resonant baritone and a “trippy troubadour” stage presence, Gamble delivers songs steeped in the landscape and spirit of North Florida.

A Lincoln High School graduate and longtime Florida State University theater instructor, Jason has spent decades writing and recording original music. His recent single “Cool This Country” calls for calm and compassion amid national polarization, embodying the heart of his music’s message.
