The Challenger Learning Center
This summer, set out on an epic adventure inside the Challenger Learning Center’s state-of-the-art Space Mission Simulator. Enjoy an educational, hands-on experience and let your imagination roam freely. Marvel at the domed high-definition planetarium or experience the thrill of our immersive IMAX theatre. With so much to see, you can easily spend all day here.
Museums
Tallahassee is filled with inspiring new discoveries. Escape the heat this summer inside some of Florida’s most spectacular museums. From fascinating military exhibits and up-close animal encounters to an impressive array of collectibles and ancient artifacts, the collections here include all that and more – even a life-size mastodon skeleton and a set of rare Batmobiles. Check out these awesome exhibits at our most notable museums, the Grove Museum, the Historic Capitol Museum, Tallahassee Automobile Museum, the Tallahassee Museum and the Museum of Florida History(temporarily closed).
Alchemy Climbing
Test your rock climbing skills as you scale a series of indoor walls reaching over 30 feet tall. With challenges for beginners and experienced climbers, Alchemy Climbing (formerly Tallahassee Rock Gym) is the perfect way to work out in the shade and have fun this summer.
Theatre Tallahassee
Drama and comedy are on ample display throughout the year at Theatre Tallahassee, where the newly renovated Mainstage and The Studio offer full-scale productions galore. Keep checking back because there are always new performances on the horizon!
Indoor Activity Centers
Burn off energy at one of Tallahassee’s more active indoor activity centers, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Hangar 38, Urban Air, Fun Station, District 850, or Tallahassee Rock Gym.
Can’t make up your mind what you like more, arcade games, pinball or bowling? Then head out to Hangar 38 and enjoy all three under the same roof, along with some great grub from their in-house menu at Zeppelins.
