Located on the southern edge of Lake Jackson and just north of the I-10/ North Monroe Street interchange, the Okeeheepkee Prairie Trail weaves through the 26-acre Okeeheepkee Prairie Park, where visitors can marvel at a breathtaking scenic overlook located near the park entrance.

The beautiful boardwalks guide visitors toward the many wonderful nature-viewing areas that exist within the park, while a gorgeous ADA access path can also lead you on a peaceful stroll along the pond for 0.5 miles. In addition, visitors have the option to follow a paved sidewalk along the front of Fuller Road where they will also discover a covered picnic area, an information kiosk and vastly improved landscaping.


Featured Uses: Bird watching, running/walking, picnicking, and educational hiking. Leashed dogs are permitted.
