Lake Overstreet Trail - Mountain Bike Trail
3540 Thomasville Rd.Tallahassee FL 32309
Bicyclists, joggers, hikers, strollers, birdwatchers, and horseback riders can all find enjoyable off-road experiences on the Lake Overstreet Trails in Maclay Gardens State Park. Located near I-10 on the north side of Tallahassee, the trails are easily accessible and rated as moderately difficult with just over 4-miles to explore.
There are two main trailheads, one is in Maclay Gardens State Park, and the other is at the Forest Meadows Park on North Meridian Road. The trails are smooth with few roots, making them beginner-friendly; however, the challenge lies in how they dip in and out of deep ravines. Also, if coming from Meridian Road on the multi-use trail, it is about a two-hundred-foot descent to Lake Overstreet.
The Lake Overstreet Trails connect to several more miles of trails in Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park off Meridian Road, so you can easily put together a daylong adventure if you wish.
Featured Uses: Walking, jogging, nature watching, bicycling, and equestrian. Leashed dogs are permitted.
Park Access: Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park
3540 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309
(850) 487-4556
Fee: $2 per person for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Amenities: Parking area, playground, and walking trails.
