Located in the northeast section of Tallahassee, the Alfred Maclay Gardens State Park offers both hiking and equestrian trails that include views of the scenic Lake Overstreet and easy terrain to explore. The Big Pine Nature Trails intersects and overlooks Lake Hall, offering hikes that can be completed in under an hour, or up to 5 miles of exploration. Visitors can also enjoy the Lake Overstreet Trail, which connects to several more miles of trails in Elinor Phipps. Featured uses: Hiking, running, biking, equestrian riding, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and boating. Leashed dogs are permitted on the trails and everywhere in the park with the exception of the gardens, indoor facilities, and swimming areas.
