On display at The Grove Museum from January 11, 2024, to June 30, 2024, Early Florida Maps & Tallahassee’s Bicentennial features maps on loan from the Cognetta Family Trust Map Collection, digital prints courtesy of the State Library of Florida and the Library of Congress, and artifacts on loan from the Bureau of Archaeological Research, this exhibit brings together rare and important maps, paired with artifacts excavated from archaeological sites depicted on the maps, that document Tallahassee’s path to becoming Florida’s Capital City.
