The National Cartoonist Society-Florida Chapter (NCS-FL) has partnered with COCA to bring this exhibition to the Artport Gallery. Artwork on display was selected from the NCS-FL permanent collection which includes over forty works by fourteen prominent artists including 2013 Inkpot Award recipient, Jose Delbo, and Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, Mike Peters.

Attendees will get a rare behind-the-scenes look into the process of creating celebrated comic strips like Mother Goose and Grimm, Dustin, and Blondie, and see artifacts that helped bring family-friendly features like Lilo and Stitch and Woody Woodpecker to the screen.

The exhibition is presented by the NCS-FL as part of the organization’s mission to stimulate and encourage interest in and acceptance of the art of cartooning by aspiring cartoonists, students and the general public.
