Every first Friday of every month, rain or shine, Railroad Square Art District provides a lively, enjoyable experience with open galleries and small businesses, live music, plenty of food and beverage options, and great people watching. For over 20 years, this monthly event is a wonderful way to experience Tallahassee’s creative community. Railroad Square is the place to go to support creative LOCAL businesses and experience a variety and uniqueness not found in any other single location in town…from vintage and antiques, to specialty stores and fine art, there are so many fun and creative shops, a non-profit theater, an authentic pinball arcade, a non-profit book store, a gaming shop, a cult cinema, and a specialty kayak shop…there’s truly something for everyone! Bring your kids to the complimentary craft table. In addition to a variety of food trucks, food and beverage options throughout Railroad Square include the Square Mug Cafe, Railroad Square Crafthouse, Oh Lemonade!, Halisi Africa, and the Crumbox Gastgarden, which is the only cafe in town built out of a real railroad caboose! Roads close around 6pm, so either come early or wear walking shoes and look for parking along FAMU Way. We hope to see you there with your friends and family. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
