Ice Skating Returns to Tallahassee This Saturday!
Venue for Public Ice Skating Shifts to Indoor Location at Fairgrounds
Starting this Saturday, Dec. 15, "Tallahassee on Ice" returns with public ice skating sessions continuing through Feb. 3. The rink has moved indoors, and all skating sessions will be held at the North Florida Fairgrounds. The rink will be housed in the "Green Room," the first building on the left side of the complex once inside the Fairgrounds (enter off South Monroe Street for ice rink parking). An hour of skating, plus skate rental, is only $6.
For the grand opening Saturday, special hours will be in place with the rink open 5-11pm. The rink’s standard schedule will operate as follows:
Monday - Friday: 3:30-8:30pm
Saturday: 11am-8:30pm
Sunday: 2-8:30pm
SPECIAL WEEKDAY HOURS FOR SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (12/26-1/4): 11am-8:30pm
Rink will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (12/24-25)
The rink is also available for private parties as well, 8:30pm-11:30pm at $400 for two hours, or $500 for three hours. The rink is also available for New Year’s Eve (special rates apply).
The City of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation Department and Tallahassee Friends of Our Parks Foundation, Inc., are sponsoring the ice skating sessions.
